Dust Collector is one of the sucking machines of dust and smoke that causes air pollution from industrial processes. In industrial processes such as pouring materials, welding, flour sifting, material falling from the conveyor to other conveyors, and several other important applications that cause dust and smoke to be sucked by the dust collector machine, the dirty air is then filtered and separated between dust and air , dust or smoke into the shelter while the air is discharged out of the factory so that air pollution can be overcome.
Dust collector consists of a number of components, including: blower (fan), filter bag (dust filter), filter-cleaning system (filter cleaning system), and hopper or dust removal system (dust collection container or dust removal system). With the automatic filter cleaning system, the filter contained in the system does not need to be disposed of (disposable filter) when the filter surface is saturated with dust.
Dust Collector In terms of work, dust collector is divided into five types, including:
1. Inertial Separators, Inertial separators function to separate dust from gas vapors using a combination of styles, including centrifugal force, gravitational force, and inertial forces. These forces will move dust to other areas where the working force is smaller. Separated dust is transferred by gravity into the hopper (container) to be temporarily placed before disposal.
2. Fabric Filters, Fabric Filters Generally known as bag houses or bag filters, fabric filters are capable of filtering to separate dust particles from gases. This tool has good and economical efficiency, its efficiency can reach more than 99% for very fine dust. The gas that carries dust enters the bag house and through the fabric bag (cloth bag) which functions as a filter.
3. Wet Scrubbers, Wet Scrubbers Dust collector that uses a liquid known as the wet scrubber. In this system, scrubbing liquid (usually water) enters and makes contact with the air flow / gas containing dust particles. The larger contact area between the liquid and the gas / air flow results in dust removal efficiency.
4. Electrostatic Precipitators (ESP), Electrostatic precipitators (electrostatic precipitators) use electrostatic forces to separate dust particles from the exhaust gas. Gas contaminated with dirt will flow through a kind of path formed by the output current and collecting electrode. Electrostatic precipitators are operated in accordance with the principles that apply to home ionic air purifiers.
5. Unit Collectors (Portable dust collector), a collector unit is a type of dust collector that controls contamination directly at the source. The shape of this tool is small and compact, consisting of a fan and several dust collector components. This tool can be operated in various placement conditions, such as a permanent place, transferring, or being moved regularly. The advantage of the collector unit is that it does not require large space in the placement and economical initial costs.
